Preview Public Relations originally installed a server to let team members easily access documents and assets. After a few years it was substituted by a two bay NAS. The new NAS was able to offer a larger store capacity, but, it is increasingly inadequate for their needs as the Gigabit ports no longer provide the speeds they need and the capacity was found to be no longer adequate.
With the needs of Preview Public Relations growing beyond the NAS they had, backups increasingly started turning to 2½” external hard drives. Using this method meant that capacity quickly filled up and new hard drives were needed. In some cases, team members forgot to connect external drives to their computers to back up data resulting in a lack of data protection.
Preview Public Relations knows that no storage media is one hundred percent safe and recognizes that adopting a 3-2-1 backup strategy will protect the company’s files will ensure the protection of their data as much as possible.
Preview Public Relations was looking to at least double their backup speed and cease use of external drives as backups. Upon realizing this, Preview Public Relations decided on getting a four bay NAS. Preview Public Relations also wanted the ability to connect to a NAS with a smartphone or tablet to allow team members have access and share files with journalists from everywhere and at any time. Sometimes, customers or freelance editors will need to upload files from their end, so they also require easy access.

Preview Public Relations team members can manage photo and video archives thanks to Photo Gallery 3 for ADM and AiFoto3 for Android and iOS. With these apps, Preview Public Relations then sends them to journalists also anywhere while Photo Gallery 3 also provides the ability to find and delete duplicates for better organization and efficiency.
Today, Preview Public Relations backs up its data daily on MyArchive drives. Since MyArchive drives are automatically mounted upon insertion and can be set to automatically dismount upon completion so that the drive can be removed easily and stored away from the NAS in an offsite location to protect data while local backups are stored in USB external drives. Preview Public Relations also uses their Drivestor 4 Pro to send press releases to the media. Preview Public Relations also likes using the mail server for ADM to manage manage press release without the limits associated with cloud email providers.
