Q: Using USB IP Printers on an ASUSTOR NAS

When a computer, a printer and an ASUSTOR NAS are within the same network, a USB IP printer allows you to use a printer connected to your ASUSTOR NAS through a computer.


Steps for setting up:

  1. Download ASUSTOR Control Center from the ASUSTOR website and ensure that ASUSTOR Control Center can see your NAS.
  2. Please use the following compatible USB printers to connect to the NAS over the USB port:

Steps for using a USB IP printer:

  • External Devices Printer.
  • Make sure the USB printer is detected, and click Settings.
  • Select USB IP Printer, and then click OK.


  • Go to ACC. Make sure ACC has detected the NAS, and make sure there is a printer icon in the enabled place.
  • Click Action USB IP Printer.


  • Click the printer device and click Connect.


  • After successful connection and activation, the icon on ACC will turn red.


  • Windows will find the printer device in Settings Devices Printers and scanners.
