A2Z Painting approached NavFile, an ASUSTOR strategic partner, and Owncloud for a solution where they could easily share files within and outside their organization.

The Challenge

As part of their everyday project and company management tasks, A2Z Painting has to share files, documents, and photos with their team, external customers, and vendors. Their existing data sharing workflow included the use of email and a well-known cloud-based storage provider. A2Z Painting encountered several challenges with that solution. The main challenges included files placed in multiple locations, no control of the storage, lack of centralized collaboration, and limited control of files shared with external customers and vendors.

The Solution

A2Z Painting’s President, Z Aydinel, reached out to NavFile, an ASUSTOR and OwnCloud partner, for a solution to provide file storage, share, synchronizations and collaboration to their team, clients, and vendors inside and outside of their headquarters in a secure manner. When talking with NavFile, Z Aydinel identified that he wanted a solution that would be hosted in their office; however, global accessibility is needed in order to help him grow his business.

What Changed After Using a Lockerstor 4 Gen2

By moving to a Lockerstor 4 Gen2, A2Z will be able to consolidate their file storage operations to the unit and keep their files organized with different computers being able to access them. In a typical project workflow, A2Z’s project manager will create a project folder and then share that folder with other A2Z group members using OwnCloud’s share feature. As a result, everyone on the A2Z Painting team has access to the files for that project and A2Z’s president can now review project files no matter where he is.

A2Z’s project manager can also seamlessly share specific files and folders to clients and vendors using OwnCloud’s external share feature. Also, with options for share/link expiration and password protection, A2Z can ensure that sensitive files are shared securely.
