Q: How to transfer photos from Google Albums to NAS?

  1. Open Google Takeout: Search for “Google Takeout” in your browser and log in to your Google account.
    • Select data to export: Deselect all items and check only “Google Albums”.
    • Choose the file format and delivery method: Usually ZIP format is chosen, and it is recommended that you choose to be notified by email of the download link. Click the “Create Export Job” button.
    • Download the file: After waiting for Google to complete the export, you will receive an e-mail with a download link. Click on the link to download the ZIP file.
    • Extract File: Extract the downloaded ZIP file to your computer.
  2. Upload photos to the ASUSTOR NAS:
    • Via Web Interface: Log in to the web interface of your ASUSTOR NAS, locate “File Explorer” or “File Explorer”, and upload the decompressed photos to the specified folder.
    • Via FTP/SFTP: Use FTP or SFTP software to connect to your NAS to upload photos.
    • Via SMB/CIFS: Mount the shared folder of your NAS as a network disk on your computer to copy photos directly.
